Dogs here have a different experience than at traditional kennels because they’re integrated into the home, rather than kept in a kennel. Your dog becomes part of the family pack.
There is a two training dog maximum for this program, giving an abundant amount of time to focus on training, and the needs of each individual dog. This allows for an extremely low to no stress experience for your dog and provides them with the attention they need to feel safe and loved.
Dogs with fear, anxiety, or special needs do very well here because of the low stress environment of being in a home. Other than for short periods of time during the day when crated, they have free access to the home, a secure yard, and a couch.
Dogs are crated for meals, short decompression time-outs if play gets too exciting, sleep, and when left alone for short periods of time during the day. If your dog has extreme fear of being crated, this is something that can be trained here. Special arrangements can be made to suit what serves your dog the best.
All dogs are taken on daily field trips, customized specifically to your dog's needs, to build confidence and appropriate behavior out in the real world: parks, hikes, beach, pet friendly stores, coffee, shops, and restaurants.
Because your dog is free in the home a majority of the time, there is continuous training for learning general manners and good behavior around the house: counter surfing, nuisance barking, trash picking, inappropriate chewing, and learning the bed or place command.
Besides the training and structure, your dog will be loved and respected as if they were my own. I love every dog, and I am vigilant and sensitive to the feelings and emotions of all dogs in my home. I believe the best environment for learning is one where you feel safe and comfortable.
